Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) became the first company in the Gulf region to be certified under the ISO 18788:2015 Certification program.
The certification was obtained through Bureau Veritas and awarded after an audit of Alba’s Security Operations Management System (SOMS) at Alba’s main plant, its Calciner and Marine Facility and its SPL Treatment Plan.
Alba’s Chief Executive Officer, Ali Al Baqali, explained the importance of the ISO certification in a related press release.
“We are honoured to be the first industrial organisation in the Region and Bahrain to have received ISO 18788:2015 Certification. This certification demonstrates our strong governance as a business to continue leading the way in our industry and is a testament to our commitment to meet international standards while doing our work.”
