Belgian aluminium building products supplier Reynaers Aluminium inaugurated its newly renovated and augmented plant in Wexford, Republic of Ireland last week.
The renovations cover an area of 37,700 square feet and include an upgrade to the production facility, an expansion to the warehouse, and a renovation of the on-site offices. Reynaers did not specify the total cost of the renovations.
A company spokesperson elaborated upon the improvements to local media.
“The refurbished offices are now a bright, modern open-plan environment with Reynaers’ own industry-leading products showcased throughout the building.”
“The production facility has been completely reorganized, new automated machinery installed, and facilities upgraded for all workers to enjoy,” the spokesperson continued.
“Reynaers has had a presence in Enniscorthy since the early 1980s and this project is all about securing it into the future,” explained Reynaers Ireland MD Pat Bevan.
“Working with local architect Neville Conroy, we have preserved and enhanced the landmark stone building, a former Jameson distillery, and it now provides world class facilities for our employees and partners.”
“We are also well positioned to meet Reynaers Group’s sustainability targets through initiatives such as sensor-operated LED lighting throughout the building and energy efficiency upgrades to our machinery,” continued Bevan.
Also present at the commissioning was Belgian ambassador to Ireland, Karen Van Vlierberge, CEO of Reynaers Group, Bert Geerinckx, several members of the Reynaers family, and representatives from several other local commercial operations.
